I've never watched Tim Burton's 'Batman' before, but it was on Instant Netflix, so I decided to try it. I like the new films, but I'm not a raving fan, so I thought my critique might be interesting. Hm. *presses play*

.....Open with the stupidest tourist in the world, followed by red-eyed muggers. Does Batman really have nothing better to do than go after muggers? ....and he didn't even get their money back!

Harvey Dent is Lando Calrissian. Jack as...himself? Cue the sexist reporter! Cue Kim...and her prom dress. Sixteen minutes into the movie and we've seen a few seconds of Batman, but no Bruce Wayne. I like that the benefit is for a party and not for, ya know, starving children or medical aide. /)_- Alfred drops a hint big enough to squash Kim's dress ruffles.

"Shoot to kill. Know what I mean?"

How could anyone possibly NOT know what he means?! xDDD

Michael Keaton is soooo short and has crazy eyebrows. xD I love Kim and all, but...Gah. Her hair. I would have preferred fingerwaves throughout the entire movie for her. She has so much hair and it's crimped. *cuts at and makes it look not so frizzy* And ew, she's clingy. Super clingy.

Yeah, okay, that was dumb.

I think there should be more of them! However, I do have a problem with her bashing 'Knocked Up' for its portrayal of women and then continually doing movies that portray women negatively. Like this flick. Okay, she's a producer, but she also seems to be kind of like...a bitch. Almost like her 'Knocked Up' character. It's the same fun-loving guy vs. the uptight career woman. Wasn't that her problem with 'Knocked Up'?

Kudos to Gerard Butler, though. He looks like he had nothing but fun doing this movie. I just bet that we will see some waves from Team Katherine about this movie though.

I'm in Charlotte at my parent's house. Fun Halloween, better than the previous two, and that's no offense to my boyfriend or the dull trouble we seem to get into on Halloween.

*Rant*

One thing that bothers me is that Hollywood likes to take perfectly good foreign films and remake them. Why do we need an Americanized 'The Grudge' or 'The Orphanage'? Instead...why can't American viewers learn to like foreign films and read subtitles? The rest of the bloody world has to read subtitles. I think instead of destroying lovely foreign films, we should read the subtitles and enjoy the art and message of the film. Excuse me for saying, but, only rednecks can't read subtitles. I think these remakes have to do with the need to put a big name in the film so that viewers will cough up the ridiculous charge to see it. Viva la Films!

I need to buy an FTP program so I can do more to my website than just update the comic and I JUST ALMOST PEED MY PANTS! I saw my pleco hanging upside down and thought it was dead for two seconds, but apparently it was just getting a tricky angle on my mountain cave decoration. His name shall now be Tony Hawk. Most I'm donating, but I'm keeping a few to cut up and see if I can make anything new. Have fun, you know. At least now I can actually see what I have to wear. Being a woman with voluptuous curves, I am always having to challenge myself to look sleek and in control of my body. Combined with being a lazy artist, I'd rather be in pajamas all day, but that's not how I want to represent myself or my work to the world. I think that everyone needs to think of themselves as a brand or a company or a country and how they want to present the total package to the world. We all want to be successful, but it can sometimes be so difficult to feel that way.

Okay, so I miscounted and the finale is next week. Oooops. Oh well. Anyway, Jerrell left with his bits and pieces. God, those flowers on the head thing were truly terrible.

Go, go Leanne! As much as I dislike Kenley, I am excited about what other designs she will bring to her show. For ten seconds, let's ignore her annoying attitude, voice, and personality - the fact that she doesn't pay attention to what is being designed really bothers me. That's not a good excuse AT ALL. You are in FASHION, you have to pay attention to what is being done. Stupid girl.

I got my new textbooks today. My terms last nine weeks, btw. Anyway, I open the box and the first thing I see underneath the packing paper is a dvd copy of 'Much Ado About Nothing.' My favorite, the one that has Denzel Washington in it. Oh yeah, it's going to be a great set of classes. I would say that I should have not selected the dvd but I had no idea if the dvd was maybe a literary summary of the play or...something. I wasn't sure if it was the actual awesome movie. My VHS copy is old as fuck. It's the copy my mom recorded off the Disney Channel when it first came on. Ha! Humanities classes rock socks.

I'm in a battle to get my Psych book from them. eeeeergh!

I'm also learning Maya and 3ds this term. Yes, I'm scared. What if I suck? Suck big time?!!

I also still have no job. Thankfully, people are starting to hire for seasonal. Am I still scared? Yeah, I'm still scared! Wtf.

Starting to go through all seasons of Star Gate. I never actually watched that show. Well, I got two discs into the first season and gave up. I had better things to watch, like Buffy, so I did. This time I'm starting in Season 2 and let my friend Wikipedia catch me up on all the important plot points. After I get through SG1...or just get sick of it...I'll switch and watch some Atlantis. Maybe once they find Atlantis, I'll switch. I watched a few episodes at the beach and, uhm, Wraithes are cool. Aliens in general are cool. I loved one of the last assignments for character development class. Create an alien using this long system. The system was actually extremely helpful!

Hm. Going over to Erin's house tonight to watch Project Runway. Is tonight the last one even though they will be eliminating someone from Bryant Park...and then having Bryant Park? I don't care, although I hope Kenley gets thrown onto her ass. I don't want the season to be over because who knows when more will happen? Stupid switching networks...although Bravo is probably one of the most annoying channels EVER.

I have three chapters left. THREE. I can't decide who to kill or who Sira should end up with, both very important questions that should have been answered from the start. I have been setting her up to end up with this one guy...but I don't know if it's altogether believable or not. It's a Fantasy, I know, but...I have half a mind to make her end up with her best friend, who I have been setting up to end up with someone else too. Meh.

My friend Cait and I used to be super close, and then school, work, boyfriends, and life happened. I haven't talked to her in six months, but we keep missing each other's phone calls. Gah! C'mon, Motherfucker Fairy, give me a break!
Saturday was my last day at the pet store. Yes, very sad. I slept until 2 today and am now just sitting, wondering what to do. I know what I am supposed to get done before Thursday, but I think I'm still in shock that I don't have to go to work this week. Nor will I ever have to open the pet store again. It makes me a little sad and a little happy. At this point, in my comic, I don't know if the character 'Meg' will continue to work in the pet store OR if the character of Justin will just hang out there all the time. He is the only one who can actually have conversations with the animals.

One of my classes is kicking my ass. Nothing I do seems to impress this guy, so I am hoping that my design for my second project will knock his socks off. I just want something that I have done to impress this guy! SOMETHING! He's such an awesome teacher, too. Blah. Blah. Blah.

New comic tomorrow. It's a special one in tribute, more than something funny. Soooorry.
